Natalie feels very blessed to have the opportunity to work with so many amazing yogis and gifted yoga teachers at COC on an ongoing basis! As both a chiropractor who integrates acupuncture, and a yoga teacher, Natalies continue to be amazed on a daily basis by the human body. Yoga is a powerful tool for many individuals, as it creates so much body awareness, mindfulness, connection - to ourselves, and others - learning, and the ability to correct and prevent injury. Natalie is grateful for the wonderful community that supports Centered on Centre Yoga studio!

Drena’s love of yoga started a decade ago while training for a half marathon. As a self declared “non-runner” she added yoga to her training regime to help manage the physical symptoms of her training schedule. She quickly realized that this thing called yoga was much more than just a cure for physical ailments. In 2014 she completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Meghan Currie in Nicaragua. This month long transformative journey allowed her to connect to her inner healer and that innate wisdom that lies within each of us. She has since also trained in teaching youth yoga, mantra and mythology, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and myofascial release. She is a firm believer that every one of us has a unique gift to be shared with this world and that the process of yoga empowers us to shine our best light on those around us. For Drena, teaching is a way of sharing this light and love and connecting to many amazing humans. It is Drena’s intention to make you feel good in your body and bring awareness to the gift that lies within each of us. Inspiring others to truly live life, not just exist within it.

Michelle first explored Ashtanga yoga in 2003 as a means to increase the flexibility she had lost through weightlifting, and was primarily drawn to Ashtanga due to its physicality; however, it was the connection between mind, body and breath, “the moving meditation”, that really resonated with her and kept her coming back for more. Many years, and trainings (Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Chakra Yoga, Yoga Thrive, Myofascial Yoga) later, Michelle is still captivated by the peace and contentment that yoga brings, and humbled to acknowledge that her yoga journey will be a life long commitment to study and practice both on and off her mat. It is her intention as a teacher to teach what she knows to be true from her own practice. For Michelle, yoga is magical, and if she can help you to connect with that magic also then she feels blessed to be able to share the gifts that a life centered by yoga can bring. Shanti.

Kate found her way to yoga after many years of personal struggles with anxiety & depression, confidence and chronic back pain. She'd known she wanted to develop her practice and become an instructor for many years yet went in several different directions in life before finding her way back to her mat.
Kate completed her 200 hour RYT Vinyasa Flow style teacher training in 2016 through Centered on Center and is currently enrolled in COC's 300 hour RYT certification program. Kate has since taken several additional teacher trainings including Yin Yoga, Restorative & Yoga Nidra, Biotensegrity Yoga with the Myofacial Tune Up Balls, Kids Yoga Level 1 and Vinyasa Flow Intensive Yoga Levels 1 & 2.
Yoga has offered Kate more strength and confidence on and off the mat and continues to contribute to her renewed sense of calm, presence and peace. It never ceases to encourage and inspire her to pursue her path as a student and a teacher and to share this gift with others.
Kate seeks to teach with authenticity and compassion, creating a safe and welcoming space for every'body' looking to invite the practice of yoga into their lives.

Tamara R. When Tamara first came to her yoga mat, she expected some stretching, stress release, a work-out. What she didn’t expect was to start a journey of self-discovery. Her mat became a familiar friend, spending hours on it each week. Gaining strength & flexibility, but also releasing emotion that she didn’t even realize was there. Each time she came to her mat, it was a different experience. There have been many laughs, tears, frustration and pure joy. Learning to accept and love herself along the journey. She loves to share yoga with others, empowering them, encouraging them. Having a little fun along the way!
