For beginners or those wanting to go back to the basics. Postures will be broken down for a deeper understanding of alignment. Students will be given opportunity to explore within each pose and modify as need be. This class will offer a more thoughtful approach while providing deeper knowledge of the foundational postures of yoga.
Centered & Strong
Strengthen and tone with Bootcamp style instruction followed by the delicious lengthening benefits of yoga with, of course, a well deserved Savasana at the end of practice.
Flow & Restore
Enjoy the best of both worlds! This class begins with an energizing flow that will warm your whole body in preparation for deep release and restoration in the second half of your class. Great for someone who is looking to strengthen and tone but can also appreciate the ability to quiet the mind and soothe the body in fully supported holds.
Gentle & Restorative
Restorative Yoga is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures and specialized breathing techniques to encourage restoration of the body. This is a great practice for everyone, but especially those with injury or limitation.
This 55+ class runs weekly on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for the low drop in rate of $12! Modifications are made available to welcome limitations and injuries into this class. Props will be offered for comfort and accessibility as well.
You can expect mindful stretching and strengthening in this "Yoga For All" class. Hatha Yoga aims to restore the balance between the mind, body and soul. The result is a discovery of inner peace, inner contentment and mental clarity. Varied themes will be explored in these classes allowing ample time to explore each posture with modifications and props made available. This class differs from Vinyasa Flow in that there will less Sun Salutation movements or chaturangas to link postures together. Students will be exposed to some Pranayama (breath work) and mindful awareness (meditation) in this class.
Bro-go Men's Yoga
This Men's only class is designed for a great combination of stretching and strengthening.
This great fusion of strengthening and lengthening will leave you feeling refreshed!
Strengthen & Balance
In this class you can expect a well-balanced mix of postures, including standing and balance poses to build strength and work and tone your entire body, twists and backbends to keep your back healthy, and seated poses to open the hips and stretch the legs. This class is open to all levels from beginners to the more experienced yogi.
Vinyasa Flow links body movement and breath together to awaken energy or prana and create strength in the whole body. Sun Salutations or Vinyasa's are used to link postures and maintain heat in the body. Standing postures, balancing, backbends, hips, core and inversions may be offered in these classes. This class is open to all levels as modifications are always made available for a safe and enjoyable practice.
Flow and Roll
Myofascial release is a form of self massage targeted towards certain trigger points in the body where injuries, trauma or even over stretching can leave you feeling ‘knotted up’ and limit your range of motion. Fused with vinyasa flow, this class gives you the best of both worlds, since you get a chance to roll combined with gentle movement that provides an extra sense of release. Accessible for all bodies!
Movement and music that will motivate and inspire you!
Move into stillness. This class features long held static poses that target the joints and connective tissues of the body, helping to restore hydration and mobility in the fascial web, and stimulate the energetic meridians of the subtle body. Yin Yoga is a deep, quiet and contemplative practice that promotes body awareness, enhances meditation, and encourages the release of physical, emotional and mental tension.
Yin and Lymph (workshops)
Suffering from sluggish lymph? This class features all of the amazing benefits of Yin Yoga, with the addition of specialized movements to improve the circulation and drainage of the lymphatic system, a vital component of your immune system. We will incorporate small rhythmic movements as we rebound and unwind from our long held static yin poses.
Yin and Self-Myofascial Release
Keeping our connective tissues hydrated and healthy is of the upmost importance in lessening pain and improving mobility. This class combines the use of Self-Myofascial Release techniques with Yin Yoga. Self-Myofascial Release is a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. We will use a variety of props including blocks and tune-up balls to apply the required pressure to our tissues. This class is suitable for everyone who has a desire to keep a 'spring' in their step!
Yin and Yoga Nidra
Yin and Yoga Nidra: the perfect pairing! ! Move into stillness with long held static poses that target the joints, connective tissues and fascial lines of the body, then drop into a deep, guided meditation known as "yogi's sleep". Yoga Nidra enables you to expand your self-awareness through the conscious deep sleep state of mind where the mind is responsive to reprogramming old beliefs and thought patterns, and open to setting new intentions (Sankalpa) for the future. The combination of Yin and Yoga Nidra is deeply transforming and healing.
