Yoga Nidra & Restorative Yoga 25 Hour Teacher Training

Join Jenni Chinski, E-RYT, YACEP, Michelle Mann Donegan, E-RYT, YACEP and Dr. Natalie Carrington, E-RYT, YACEP, Chiropractor for a comprehensive continuing education weekend of Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra, as accredited by the Yoga Alliance.
The Yoga Nidra component of this training will be an in-depth look at the philosophy and history of Yoga Nidra from a variety of different lineages, and its practical application in today’s western world to promote healing and relaxation. There will be a special emphasis on ways to access a deeper level of consciousness, as is taught by yogic philosophy (the 5 koshas, dharma, etc.), but also modern neuroscience. We will also explore the effectiveness of Yoga Nidra to facilitate new and lasting belief systems through the practice of Sankalpa. There will be ample opportunity to create and practice teach Yoga Nidra and receive valuable feedback from peers and facilitators.
In addition, students will gain a solid understanding of:
The Restorative Yoga portion of the weekend will include an in depth look at what Restorative Yoga is, why it is useful and how to teach it safely and effectively. We will be discussing over 20 restorative poses, gaining an understanding of their purpose, their anatomy and how to modify as the need arises.
We will also be discussing pranayama, meditation and mindfulness techniques as they apply to restorative yoga specifically. Various relaxation methods will be discussed and hands on assists will be demonstrated. There will be ample opportunity to create and practice teach Restorative Yoga and receive valuable feedback from peers and facilitators.
Dr. Natalie Carrington will be sharing her expertise relating to the anatomy portion of our training, with a specific focus on how Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra contribute to a healthy central nervous system.
*** This teacher training is 25 CE hours through Yoga Alliance and may be taken as a separate training from our Comprehensive 300 Hour Teacher Training.

- Creating a Sankalpa (resolve) and its role in Yoga Nidra
- Crafting scripts and developing an effective and safe class
- Using your voice as a guide
- Usage of props, postures and music in Yoga Nidra sessions
- Creating workshops that combine asana, Yoga Nidra and other healing modalities
